We have just satisfied a Client, with database driven applications servicing nationwide. The company consulted Cebu IT Solutions for an advice and recommendation on how to efficiently Load Balance the Database Server Load and at the same time provide Redundancy in case their Database Server ceased to function due to hardware or other technical problems.
Not only does my client servicing nationwide but also operating 24/7. The have been dependent on their Master-Slave Database Servers since the beginning and lately experiencing lag issues, because their database size are increasing exponentially.
Tested clustering but is not feasible because of the complex queries and the multiple joins their application uses. What they need is a setup with numerous nodes, and can add more as the data increases, without disrupting the service, a 99% Uptime.
