I have just updated to the latest stable version of WordPress, I have first tried it locally through my localhost then updated the live one online.
Basically, this customize theme works well with version 2.8, no modifications, even forgot to disable the plugins before updating 
The widget admin page changed, it is now better looking and easy to use, also I’ve noticed the speed of the posts and pages, it’s way faster than version 2.7
